Conquest Data Disc Strategy: Jocasta Nu
Some people prefer digital data discs, but I'm a vinyl guy, myself
This conquest is a Weak Point type conquest! And also it’s little sister, Weak Spot. They’re basically the same, except that WP increases your offense twice as quickly as WS. No, I don’t understand why both are available. Seem weird to me. Both are two-dot (••) discs.
Quickening appears to be bugged in our favor! Pick this disc up. My team with 2x quickening and 1x unstable decelerator runs laps around the teams I fight. Most never take a single turn when I’m at 100% stamina.
I’m changing how I recommend loadouts here.
You want a loadout that ramps damage, protects your characters, and controls turn meter.
DAMAGE RAMP COMBOS:
Weak Point (••) or Weak Spot (••). These are functionally identical, Point is just twice as effective as Spot. No need to stack these, ever.
Ability Fatigue (•••) optional, but a good compliment to WP/WS in the rare case that your main squads don’t apply debuffs.
OR
Deadly Catalyst (••••) This is the single best data disc in the game and is a force unto itself.
OR
Critical Tactics (•••) Another self-contained damage ramping disc. Very strong.
OR
Stacking Fervor (••) This only works if you’re calling assists, but it can be a cheap, if somewhat less effective, means of achieving damage ramping until you find one of the above options.
PROTECTION DISCS:
Vitality (••) Flat stat boosts. Better than you think.
Fortified (•••) This starts strong and gets weaker as rounds progress. But it will usually buy you enough time to win.
Entrenched (•) Similarly to Fortified, this will buy you time to get your team rolling. The blue version is vastly superior to the green which is, itself, vastly superior to the gray.
Combo any of those with Protection Recovery (••) and you should be fine from there.
Voluntary Vanguard (••) I always try to pick this up as it makes some cheeses possible and others much easier. This is not a “use all the time” disc for me.
TURN METER CONTROL
Quickening (•) (green/blue): Allied units gain 6.5/8% Speed and 4.5/5.5% Evasion bonus. This appears to be bugged and is fucking insane. Get 1 or 2 and run laps around the enemy.
Unstable Decelerator (••) Reduce enemy tm every time you hit them. Excellent.
Ruthless Swiftness (•) Classic for chaining turns. Works brilliantly with Deadly Catalyst, but is always good.
So a good loadout might be:
Weak Spot
Fortified
Protection Recovery
Quickening
Unstable Decelerator x2
or it might be
Deadly Catalyst
Vitality
Ruthless swiftness
quickening
and then four dots’ worth of other decent discs such as
Ability Exhaust
Secret Intel
Mix and match to find what is best for you with the options provided! The only “must get” discs I’d recommend are Weak Point/Weak Spot and Quickening. I’d take those over anything else if I didn’t have one yet.
Other new discs:
Painful Trials (•••) (grey/green/blue): Whenever an ally is inflicted with a debuff, they gain 1/2/3% turn meter. I view this disc as worthless, even the blue version. 3% tm gain is nothing, and the 3 dot cost is insane. At 1 dot I would consider the blue version.
Disc changes:
Ability Fatigue (•••) Used to be (•) but is now much more expensive. Given that other debuff discs appear to be absent, however, this may still be worth it to combo with Weak Point/Spot.
