[I’ll put a link to my main guide here when that goes live]
Setting up teams for any conquest is an exercise in efficiency. You want to check off as many feat boxes as you can using the same team. So to help figure this out, I’ve made a spreadsheet of the feats, the teams that satisfy them, and where those teams intersect with other feats.
Green: Easily accomplished
Yellow: Requires you to pay attention to something
Gray: Doesn’t apply in this sector and / or you don’t need to worry about it specifically
Far right column: My general notes and team recommendations.
Is this useful? I don’t know. It’s the first time I’ve done it. If you like it, please let me know and I’ll keep doing it in the future. If you don’t find it useful, also please let me know so I can stop because damn this took a while.
“But Kahz, how do these teams actually look in game?”
I’m so glad you asked.
Cheese Teams
I want to draw special attention to the JML foie gras cheese team (called that because you’re force-feeding the fifth unit and I have a dark sense of humor). You’re going to have as your fifth a light side character (this only works with light side units) who inflicts a debuff you need to inflict on basic, or who you need to get kills. So like Old Ben applying Potency Down, or Ezra to get you phoenix squad kills. By using JML’s granted ability, Shaak, GMY, Hoda, and JML can all call the fifth character to assist, dealing damage based on JML’s max protection.
I use these specific jedi because they also all have abilities they can use which do not deal damage and most of them can call assists with those abilities, too (shaak heals and calls the target to assist, or removes debuffs; gmy spreads buffs; hoda calls an assist or heals; JML is required for the assist granted ability and also can apply daze while calling an assist). This way you can be sure the only person dealing damage is your fifth character (and very rarely GMY since his buff spread is on a longer cooldown). I use this cheese as I clear sectors (35 kills with X), and afterwards to finish feats (gain X buff 50 times or Apply X debuff 50 times). When just going for buffs or debuffs, I change my data discs to focus on survival rather than damage - don’t wanna accidentally kill the enemy team in the middle of going for 50 potency down debuffs.
Note there is no DCS disc available in this conquest, so that cheese team will not work as it has in the past. Plan accordingly.
Global Teams
Yes, these are my actual teams that I plan on using this conquest. Crit chance down can be done in a single combat with the Nebit team, and probably won’t be needed at all since you’ll get some crit chance down just as you play, so I recommend not using that team at all until literally everything else is complete.
For wins, it is what it is. If you don’t have BKM, you can use BAM, sad normal Bo, or Armorer as lead and make due with whoever is available to you. Then just farm the bonus node at the end of sector 1. Sad normal Bo is the best of those options IMO.
For 50 kills with inks, you do NOT have to use this team at all. See my common conquest cheese teams for ideas on how to squeeze the most kills out of your ink units, even at very low gear. I’ll be using this team to clear sectors, but you do not have to win any combats to get 50 kills (saving stamina and boosters), and if you get the right setup against a team like MM+SRP, you can farm all of your kills in a single combat. Theoretically. I should also note that if you do have GI or 3rd sister Inks, they farm the shit out of the sector 5 bonus node jedi team, so those are basically free kills as you collect datacon materials.
Team counter notes:
- GMs beat Padme squads pretty easily.
- Targeting imps with the inks garners a lot of kills (10).
Sector 1
The bonus turns team and breach/pot down team are both just in case you don’t finish as you go. Remember JKCK can pass a bonus turn to GMY whenever he switches into whirlwind stance. For the breach/pot down team, you can force feed MQG for breach, and force feed GMY or POW for pot down. JML also breaches everyone with his AoE. I actually found that force feeding dealt too much damage, so I switched to mostly just basics. Fighting GAS afforded a lot of opportunities to apply debuffs without risking murdering the enemy team. Not pictured here are the global NS team with GMs, who get a ton of bonus turns (they’re in the earlier set of teams) and the global BKM squad (paz does a ton of breaches). So be sure to use those guys as you go!
Sector 2
Obviously for GM survival I’ll be using my GM NS team, but if yours is weak you can JW (Jedi + Wat) cheese it. Speaking of which, my Padiwren is pretty weak, so if she can’t survive with BKM, I will be sending her against the endboss with the JW squad (also note I’m not bringing BAM since he’ll be tired from his merc team duties). I don’t have Baylon so my all dark side merc team kinda blows, but if I did have him, I’d use him instead (also for the marrok surviving miniboss feat).
Other than that just remember to use Han’s 3rd ability and 7th sister’s 3rd ability for Eva up and Dash’s 3rd and Paz’s 2nd for Crit damage down. If that’s not enough, or not an option for you, the team of Bane / Badstila / 3 other sith can get both evasion up and crit damage down at the same time. Without bane, Badstila is still a strong cd down unit.
Team counter notes:
- BAM mercs beat bad batch with ease.
- Sana mercs beat JTR with ease.
Sector 3
You don’t need to use JW cheese for STAP (use GG) or CRex (Clones, PHX, Various Rebel teams), but it’s the most efficient way.
For Adapt or Die, you don’t need to win and your team doesn’t need to be good at all - you’ll get at least 5 every time since Iden will go first as long as the other teammates are non-leader imp troopers. The first time this feat came around my iden was G8 or something. Worked fine.
And obviously I won’t be doing the Baylon feat, but this team is probably what I’ll use once I unlock him (and I’m close - see those Marrok shards? Next time).
Not featured are speed down units: GMs do it on basic, NT does it on basic, and then you can toss baby Cal (basic and 3rd ability aoe), Vader (2nd ability), or any of the other characters in the grid above.
Special note: This bad batch team kicked the ever-loving shit out of the Enoch boss. They were stunlocked the entire time and never attacked once. I’m genuinely amazed - I went into the fight expecting at least Batcher to die. Quickening is a broken data disc.
Sector 4
Okay, first enoch team also features dark trooper so that you can get droid kills at the same time. Second enoch team is a normal enoch team in case you need a lot more IR wins for the global and are doubling up with DTMG (or don’t have DTMG). Third team is cheesing this shit with LV because fuck yeah let’s cheese some shit.
Accuracy up is easily accomplished by force feeding Cere.
Accuracy down is cad bane’s basic so give him all the assists you can.
Two options I like for droid kills. One is farty doing farty things, and the other is force feeding R2D2 like a foie gras goose. But there are lots of ways to get droid kills, you don’t have to be married to either of these. They’re not pregnant, and even if they are, their dad doesn’t own a shotgun and you live in another state.
Midboss if MM doesn’t work, JW cheese will.
And for endboss, I mean… if you have bane keeping him alive shouldn’t really be that hard.
Sector 5
Because of this heavy reliance on JML cheese in this sector, I recommend a non-JML team for Hati and Marrok wins. SLKR or LV are great for this.
We’re definitely gonna want to find cheese-able nodes for those 35 kill feats, but fortunately they don’t require us to burn stamina. Ideal is MM+SRP (infinite kills), then Empire (10 kills, 9 if you want to let the node time out for stamina purposes), then Separatists (8 kills with GBA summoning a brute at the start, Nute and Jango getting revives. Maybe a 9th kill if GBA summons a second brute), then BH (up to 7 kills if boba and mando are both there), then geos (6 if you kill them all right away, 7 if they get another summon of a brute). 35 kills is 7x5 so you want to get at least 7 kills per combat to finish these feats in 5 or fewer combats. If you can get 9 kills per attempt, you can do it in 4. If you can get all 10 empire kills 100% of the time, you can do 3 combats each so they both have 30 kills, and then bring JML / JKCK / Ezra (or kanaan) / Shaak / Hoda and make sure each of JKCK and Ezra (or kanaan) get exactly 5 of the kills, and you can theoretically do both feats at the same time and be done in 7 combats.
Evasion down is just force feeding old ben, or you can use the Deployable Cooling Systems cheese team shown here (you’ll need voluntary vanguard to keep marked on Malak).
Note also that the “no force users” miniboss team has Captain Rex on it, and he’s phoenix squad, so if he gets kills, that will count towards your 35 needed.
Okay, you read all of this, and it seems fine, except that YOU DON’T HAVE THOSE CHARACTERS OH MY GOD KAHZ 12M GP ACCOUNTS DON’T NEED A GUIDE!
Don’t worry, fam, I’ve got some team builds for the 99% as well:
These aren’t… great teams. Well, the NS one can be. And the Resistance team is actually really good. That ink kills cheese is complicated (see my separate post about common conquest cheese teams for the deets - it’s linked in my main conquest guide. Also it may not even work because it depends on what data discs are available). Really the poverty Mandos and Early game IR squads are the only question marks here.
I also want to stress: Do NOT buy Moff Gideon’s leader zeta. It’s not worth it and you’ll literally never use him as a leader in the rest of the game. You’re better off just having 3 star gear 8 Enoch be your leader. This team is only if you do not have any other options.
Anyway, if you can’t make any of these teams work, maybe consider farming for next time, and leave me a comment here with your swgoh.gg profile link and I’ll see if I can’t come up with something that works for you. Good luck!
I’m not sure where to put this, but Weak Point is the new amplify agony disc. I’ve got g11/12 imperial remnants and it makes it a breeze. I also did a Vader saber toss on the final enemy (after all the debuffs) for 795k without having his 3rd special going. I have two green ones going
Thank you! I’ve been using your guides for a while now. Ever since I found the first one I’ve been getting red crate without buying passes. Truly appreciate you.
