[Near As I Can Tell...] Kit Reveal: RC-1262 "Scorch"
Looks like war crimes are back on the menu!
CATEGORIES: Tank, Clone Trooper, Empire
This was entirely predictable. The Scorch is an Ogre-class mech, after all.
Basic - Exterminate with Extreme Prejudice
Final Text:
Deal Physical damage to target enemy and dispel all debuffs from a random debuffed Empire ally.
If the target enemy had Order 66, reduce the cooldowns of a random, other non-Galactic Legend Empire ally by 1.
Thanks to the power of the Scorch’s T-203 Thermite launcher, it can burn away pesky pilots that might be clinging to your ally’s mech. If you’ve got a parasite hitching a ride, there’s no better cure than … F I R E !
SPECIAL 1: Breaching Charge (Cooldown: 3)
Final Text:
Deal Physical damage to all enemies, inflict 2 stacks of Damage Over Time for 2 turns, and Off Balance for 2 turns, which can't be copied.
The Scorch’s primary weapon is a fearsome cannon, but this mech comes standard with a wide array of munitions for all of your conflagatory needs. The “wall of fire” or “firewall” or “actually it’s just a guy throwing grenades which doesn’t have a really good metaphorical cognate to the abilities of the mech” can burn entire divisions to a crisp in a single, uh, burn. Flame-session? Conflagration. There we go. We conflagrating now, bitches!
Special 2: Entrenched (Cooldown: 4)
Final Text:
Scorch Taunts for 2 turns, recovers 25% Health and Protection, and gains 5 stacks of Bulwark for 2 turns, which can't be copied. At the start of battle, if there is an ally Lord Vader or Grand Moff Tarkin in the leader slot and not in the ally slot, Bulwark can't be copied, dispelled, or prevented.
Dark Side Clone allies gain Protection Up (25%) for 2 turns.
Bulwark: +150% Defense per stack; lose one stack of Bulwark when receiving damage
The Scorch’s flame barrier instantly incinerates most incoming projectiles, rendering attacks against this hulking brute even more meaningless than they already were. The high-intensity plasma spiral is also magnetically charged, which disrupts blasters and traditional firearms alike. And it’s like, really bright, so you’re like one of those fire dancers at a luau and no one can look away, even if they’re really hungry because humans are part moth. If you doubt this claim, light a match and yell, “I’m gonna burn this fucker down!” Literally everyone in earshot will turn to look. And if they don’t, watch out - they’re clearly a psychopath.
UNIQUE 1: Following Protocol (Zeta, Omicron)
Final Text:
At the start of each encounter, Scorch Taunts for 2 turns.
While Scorch is Taunting, he has +25% Defense and Tenacity. Whenever he loses Taunt, he gains 25% bonus Protection for 2 turns.
While he has Bulwark, he is immune to Speed Down, Stagger, and Stun.
Whenever an enemy dispels Taunt from Scorch, they are inflicted with Order 66 for 2 turns, which can't be copied, dispelled, or resisted. If that enemy was a Jedi, Order 66 instead lasts for 4 turns.
Whenever a Damage Over Time inflicted by Scorch expires, he gains 10% bonus Protection for 2 turns.
At the start of battle, if there is an ally Grand Moff Tarkin, Grand Moff Tarkin gains 200% Potency, Scorch assists whenever Tarkin uses an ability, and the first time Tarkin would be defeated, he instead gains Deflective Ward for 2 turns or until he receives damage, which can't be copied, dispelled, or prevented, and recovers 50% Health and Protection.
While in Grand Arenas: Scorch gains 50% Max Health, Max Protection, and Tenacity.
Whenever he loses Taunt, all Dark Side Clone Trooper allies recover 15% Health and Protection. Whenever he gains Taunt, he dispels all debuffs on himself and all other Dark Side Clone Trooper allies gain 10% Turn Meter. Whenever he uses Entrenched, he gains an additional 5 stacks of Bulwark.
The first time each other non-Galactic Legend Empire ally is reduced to 50% Health, Scorch Taunts for 2 turns and that ally recovers 100% Health and Protection.
This is a lot of words that tell us the Scorch is one chonky pile of Grade-A Whoop-Ass. It takes a lickin’ and keeps on burning your enemies alive. At the heart of the Scorch Heavy Titan is the F L A M E C O R E. Most people think there’s a tiny neutron star that powers the titan, and that the flame core is intentionally exposing that star to the outside world, unleashing the fury of a dying sun upon any hapless fool dumb enough to step to one of mankinds greatest war crimes. But that’s physically impossible. Do you have any idea how much a neutron star, even a small one, weighs??? It’s a LOT, lemme tell you. Not to mention the required hardware to magnetically seal it. No, what’s actually at the center of the Scorch is a teleporation portal which opens a rift in space-time to a position at the edge of the nearest star. Lightweight and compact, with no concern it may melt down during interstellar travel.
Fun fact: The water variant of the Scorch, dubbed the “Splash” made a portal into the ocean, but local megafauna kept getting sucked into it, which… complicated the battle field. Imagine fighting a giant mech and it spits a fucking whale onto you. PETA went crazy so we had to switch to something more animal-friendly like MOTHERFUCKING STAR NAPALM.
Enjoy!
