The Roadmap
Or... Navigational Chart? What do space pirates use?
Alright, let’s get to the meat and potatoes of this guide: The roadmap.
Every Conquest you start with 144 energy. Each combat uses 20. So that’s 7 combats to start the conquest. In each 24 hour period, you regenerate about 120 energy (6 combats). On top of that, I do all 3 refreshes at 50c each (an additional 18 combats). This means that on day 1 I have 31 combats to burn, and on subsequent days I have 24. This is not 100% accurate, since the time your day resets is also when your energy refreshes reset. So my day resets at 11 pm PDT, which means “day 1” I really have 12 hours to burn all of my combats, and then my refreshes reset at 11 pm. I still find it helpful to think of days based on the conquest time remaining rather than my actual reset times. You’ll have to be practical with your own schedule as well.
Stamina regeneration rates come out to roughly 50% stamina per 24 hours. So in order to maximize my character effectiveness, I do battles twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. I rarely do more than 2 battles with any specific squad each time I do battles (though the nature of the ‘10 wins with X’ feats means that sometimes I do). So if I put in my roadmap "4 battles with GR" that means "2 battles in the morning with my GR team, and 2 battles in the evening with my GR team.” If I have multiple teams, you’ll see multiples of 4, most likely.
The next thing we want to do is figure out which feats we can skip. You can red crate and miss 34 burritos. You can gold crate and miss 134 burritos.
If you check out the “conquest feats & team building” link on my conquest landing page, you’ll see that I’ve chosen to skip:
Sector 1 (5 burritos): Win 10 combats with Deepa Baleepa surviving. I’m sorry, I just can’t remember her name. Depeche Mode? The Deep? I’m not sure. Regardless, mine is trash right now and I don’t feel like slogging through 10 wins trying to keep her alive for a scant 5 burritos. Probably not even good burritos. Half of it is rice, the “salsa” is just diced tomatoes, and CG added something totally unnecessary to it, like raisins.
Sector 2 (5 burritos): Win 10 with OmegaFans and Batcher surviving. Why? I don’t want them to survive. Well, Batcher can survive, but Omeeeeeega annoys the crap out of me. Also, those burritos definitely have raisins in them. I’m pretty sure that’s a war crime.
Sector 5 (3 burritos): Win with JMMW in your squad. I don’t have him. This is outrageous! It’s unfair!
So that’s… 13 burritos. Which is good. It means I can skip more. Fuck YOUUUUUU 20 global wins with Jedi Vanguard.
Global (15 burritos): Win 20 battles with a full squad of Jedi Vanguard units.
That’s 28 burritos now. I can theoretically skip 6 more, which gives me some wiggle room in case something is unexpectedly difficult or I don’t 3 star every node right out of the gates (and if past performance is any indicator, I won’t).
Here are some other feats that just might be flatly impossible for people, depending on which characters they have unlocked (I’m assuming everyone has all recent marquees, at a minimum of 3 stars and g8, which I believe is enough to cheese their survival) (problem characters are in bold):
Sector 1 (2 points): Beat the miniboss with JKCK surviving.
Sector 2 (2 points): Beat the miniboss with LV and Scorch surviving.
Sector 2 (3 points): Beat the Boss with Jocasta Nu surviving.
Sector 3 (2 points): Beat the miniboss with Baylan Skoll surviving.
Sector 4 (4 points): Beat the boss with SM-33 surviving.
Sector 5 (3 points): Beat the miniboss with JMMW surviving.
Sector 5 (5 points): Beat the boss with GLAT surviving.
That’s 21 points locked behind characters you may not even have, so plan accordingly. And I mean that. Planning in advance for which feats you’re going to skip can save you a TON of heartache. My own plan cuts 40 combats with essentially mandated teams out of my roadmap. That gives me a lot more flexibility and that, in turn, makes the event more fun for me.
Remember that you can always change your plan. You are not locked into anything. Please also note that a plan is just a list of things that won’t happen. Here’s mine:
Day 1:
Sector 1: 0/22 combats completed at day start. 31 combats available on day 1. I divide my combats up by morning and evening to preserve stamina for my teams.
Morning:
1 combat with LV and the Clones (global).
1 combat with LV, 3 clones not named CX-2, and 8th brother (global - be sure to fight non-jedi so 8th bro gets acc down too).
2 combats with nuBatch™ (global).
2 combats with Aprha (doubt).
2 combats with Imps (stagger).
2 combats with Rey (evades).
1 midboss combat with JW cheese / JKCK / CX-2 (both midboss feats. This is why I’m doing that 1 weird combat with LV but not CX-2 - I need him for this)
Evening:
2 combats with LV and the clones (global).
2 combats with nuBatch™ (global - one of these combats should be the endboss fight).
2 combats with Aprha (doubt).
2 combats with Imps (stagger).
2 combats with Rey (evades).
1 combat free for Old Ben (evades), Malgus (doubt/staggers), or one of my global teams.
Sector 2: 0/22 combats complete when unlocked on day 1. 9 combats available when unlocked, all in the evening.
Evening (continued):
2 combats with GG seps (buff Immunity).
2 combats with BKM (daze).
2 combats with GAS feat CRex (daze).
2 combats with JML foie gras jedi (buff immunity).
1 combat with BAM etc (daze).
That’s… a lot of teams going for daze, especially when I know LV will get use on day 2 for even more dazes. Depending on how that progress goes, I’m likely to swap GAS into the JML team, forget using BAM’s squad, and use those 3 freed up combats for globals like Acc down.
Day 2:
Sector 2: 9/22 combats complete when starting day 2. 24 combats available.
Morning:
1 combat with GLLO feat CRex (midboss, daze).
2 combats with GG seps (buff Immunity).
2 combats with BKM (daze).
2 combats with JML foie gras Jedi (endboss, daze, buff immunity).
2 combats with nuBatch™ (global).
4 free combats (plus more, probably, if I finish daze and buff immunity feats earlier).
So that’s 13 combats done in the morning so far, and we’ve unlocked sector 3.
Sector 3: 0/22 combats complete when unlocked on day 2. 11 combats available.
Morning (continued):
2 combats with LV and the clones not named scorch (note how I didn’t use them in sector 2 on day 2? This is why) (disarm, no tanks).
2 combats with Baylan, feat Krr (disarm) .
2 combats with GLAT (spectre kills) or CLS (blind, no tanks).
Evening:
2 combats with LV and the clones not named scorch (disarm, no tanks).
2 combats with nuBatch™ (global, disarm).
1 combat with Baylan, feat Krr (midboss, disarm) (note: If I have lost any combats along the way, it won’t be possible to reach the midboss on day 2).
Can you tell I’m worried about disarms? It’s also very unlikely I get this far in the first two days. I almost always drop a couple of battles along the way. But we should plan for success, not failure, so here we are. Also, I originally planned on using both WreckM and Krr in Baylan’s team, but since I need 20 nuBatch wins anyway for the global, I can divide them up and be okay. This is a good example of where planning out my run helped reveal that one of my “optimal” teams is actually problematic.
Day 3:
Sector 3: 11/22 combats completed when starting day 3. 24 combats available.
Morning:
2 combats with LV and the clones not named scorch (disarm, no tanks).
2 combats with nuBatch™ (global, disarm).
2 combats with Baylan, feat Krr (disarm).
2 combats with CLS (blind, no tanks).
1 combat with another “no tanks” team; I’m leaning towards JMK / CAT / Padme / Snips / R2D2 (no tanks).
1 combat with GLAT (spectre kills)
1 combat with “no tanks” Sith Empire (hopefully this team doesn’t suck) (endboss, no tanks).
Sector 4: 0/22 combats completed when unlocked. 13 combats available.
Morning (continued):
2 combats with my EP healthsteal team (healthsteal up, tenacity down).
2 combats with GMs (ten down).
1 combat with JML feat baby cal (midboss, ten down).
4 free combats for global feats.
Evening:
2 combats with nuBatch™ (global).
2 combats with LV and the clones (global).
Again, suuuuper unlikely I get this far without dropping any combats. That “no tanks” SE team, especially, concerns me. You’ll also notice I’m focusing on the global “wins with” feats instead of the sector-specific buff or debuff feats. That’s because DCS cheese will let us clean up any missing buff or debuff feats in a single combat per feat.
Day 4:
Sector 4: 13/22 combats completed at start of day. 24 combats available.
Morning:
2 combats with my EP healthsteal team (healthsteal up, tenacity down).
2 combats with GMs (ten down).
1 combat with JMK (endboss).
4 free combats for global feats.
Sector 5: 0/22 combats completed when unlocked on day 4. 15 combats available.
Morning (continued):
2 combats with nuBatch™ (riposte, midboss).
2 combats with LV and the clones (O66, global).
2 combats with SLKR carrying pirates (pirates).
2 combats with GLAT (riposte).
2 combats with JML (ability block, riposte).
1 free combats for globals.
Evening:
2 combats with nuBatch™ (riposte, midboss, global).
2 combats with LV and the clones (O66, global).
Day 5:
Sector 5: 15/22 combats completed when day 5 starts. 24 combats available.
Morning:
2 combats with nuBatch™ (riposte, midboss, global).
2 combats with LV and the clones (O66, global).
2 combats with SLKR carrying pirates (pirates).
1 combats with GLAT (endboss, riposte).
This clears Sector 5! At this point, in an absolutely perfect world (which it won’t be, but let’s pretend), I still need:
2 wins with nuBatch™(global).
2 wins with LV and the clones (global).
6 wins with SLKR carrying pirates (sector 5).
5 wins to 3 star the 5 bonus nodes that I farm for datacon materials.
8 wins to finish the midboss and endboss feats I did not previously complete.
3 wins to unlock a dumb title I’ll never use.
I almost certainly will need other feats, but everything else can be cheesed. Also I still have 6 burritos to give, so I can skip a couple miniboss/boss feats, or be okay with some dropped stars along the way. I won’t have enough energy to finish the red crate on day 5, but can theoretically do it on day 6.
Hopefully your own plan also executes flawlessly! Good luck, and may the force be with you!
