Update 5-12-25: Info on discs is rolling in. Weak Spot confirmed! Voluntary Vanguard confirmed! The new discs seem quite good. Scroll down for more info.
Confirmed Data Discs for this Conquest (my recs are in BOLD):
Ramping offense type: Weak Spot, Stacking Offense, Stacking Fervor, Ruthless: Offense
Survival type: Protection Shield, Vitality, Convor’s Agility, Heal Over Time, Defensive Buffs, Cleanse
Speed type: Quickening, Solid Intel, Painful Trials
Others: Potency Calibration, Caustic Emissions, Shocking Exhaust, Assertive Command, Power, Critical Buffs, Critical Debuffs, Helping Hands, Superior Discipline, Amplify Agony (note
For building your loadout, you generally want at least one disc from each of the RO / Su / Sp type categories, above. Right now, I’m not sold on any of the speed type discs as “must-haves” (Quickening has been fixed and is no longer broken in our favor as it was last conquest).
Weak Spot is good enough to be the only offense disc you use for the entire conquest.
You’ll want to pick up a Voluntary Vanguard disc as well.
Beyond those two, you can really play with what’s available. Try to get the discs in bold, above - they’re the better options vs. the non-bold ones. If I learn of any other ultra-strong discs, I’ll update further.
Here are some sample loadouts I really like:
Loadout 1: Weak Spot Focus
Weak Spot (••)
Critical Debuffs (••)
Protection Shield (••)
Quickening (•)
Quickening (•)
Vitality (••)
Certain Defeat (••)
Loadout 2: Stacking Offense Focus
Stacking Offense (••)
Critical Buffs (••)
Defensive Buffs (••)
Heal Over Time (•)
Heal Over Time (•)
Quickening (•)Quickening (•)
Cleanse (••)Loadout 3: Stacking Fervor Focus
Stacking Fervor (••)
Assertive Command (••)
Master’s Technique (••)
Opportunistic Support (•)
Convor’s Agility (••)
Quick Reflexes (•••)
Of the above builds, loadouts 1 and 2 absolutely slap. 3 is not as good and is succeptible to daze, but should be servicable. All of these can be mixed and matched. My current build at the time of this update is sort of a mix of 1 and 2 with both weak spot and stacking offense, critical buffs and critical debuffs, and protection shield. I’m finding it quite effective.
About data discs:
We never know what type of data discs are available until the day conquest starts. With that understanding, there are a few broad categories:
Amplify Agony + Volatile Accelerator: If these discs are present, you’re going to be focusing on them (and several copies of AA, if you can find them). I hope we get this type because of the prevalence of DoTs in this conquest. AA is a very offensive style of disc setup that works to nuke down enemy teams quickly.
Zealous Ambition: If this disc is present, you’ll find that your supports and healers suddenly hit like trucks. You’ll want to take a more defensive disc loadout to keep those characters alive.
Weak Point / Weak Spot: Weak Point, like AA, is an offensive style of disc. Weak Point ramps your offense quickly, allowing even weaker units to nuke after a few turns. I do not expect this style of conquest since we just had one with the Jocasta cycle. Weak Spot is identical to Weak Point, but half as good (still one of the very best discs in the game, however).
I’ll update this post with specifics once we have them, but for now, keep in mind this general data disc build strategy. There are three pillars of effective disc loadouts:
ramping offense (discs like Deadly Catalyst, Weak Point, Stacking Fervor, and Critical Tactics all give your characters an unlimited ceiling for damage)
survival (discs like fortified, vitality, and protection recovery all keep your characters alive)
speed (discs like ruthless swiftness and quickness help you to out-speed the enemy units and run turn meter trains
If your loadout can hit those three pillars, you’ll do well.
In addition, certain discs are situationally useful or are important to various cheese strategies:
Voluntary Vanguard. I always try to pick this up. Especially in a Deployable Cooling Systems conquest (which this one is), VV is very helpful for cheesing feats.
Evasive Technique. This grants evasion up for the related feat, and also helps you take additional turns and stay alive thanks to dodging. Very helpful!
New Discs:
Superior Discipline (••): At the start of each allied attacker’s turn, they ignore taunt effects.
Defensive Buffs (••): Allied units gain Critical Hit Immunity, Tenacity Up, and Defense Up for 1 turn at the start of their turn.
Critical Buffs (••): Allies units gain Offense Up, Critical Chance Up, and Critical Damage Up for 1 turn at the start of their turn.
Critical Debuffs (••): Enemy units gain Crit Damage Down, Crit Chance Down, and Offense Down for 2 turns at the start of their turn, which can’t be resisted.
Cleanse (••): Whenever an ally scores a critical hit, they dispel all debuffs on themselves.
Ruthless: Offense (•): Whenever an enemy falls below 100% health, all allies gain 16% offense.
Dunno if you’re wanting to compile all possible disks like you used to on the Reddit versions, but I’ve also seen Stacking Offense and Thermal & Ability Exhaust
“Ruthless: Offense” is available as well. 1 capacity, whenever an enemy falls below 100% Health all allies gain 16% offense (stacking) until the end of the encounter.
